Construction Services
piling / Micropiling
Piling forms the very basis of many construction projects. It is vitally important, that it is completed effectively, efficiently and correctly. Speight Drilling have extensive experience across various piling methodologies including Bored, Continuous Flight Auger (CFA), Down the Hole Hammer (DHH) and Micro-piles.
Our plant and experienced team allow us to adapt and complete various projects in a variety of ground conditions. We typically complete piles up to 1.2m in diameter and up to 30m depth.
Ground Anchors
Ground anchors (as well as soil nails and rock bolts) are a versatile form of ground support used in construction to resist horizontal and vertical movements. Typically used in retaining walls, cut slopes and as part of building foundations. Speight Drilling have completed a variety of anchoring projects from large-scale cut-slopes to limited access strengthening works. Using the most suitable methodology for you project we are able to deliver the best solutions.
Dewatering
Dewatering involves drawing-down (controlling) groundwater levels in excavations to allow construction works to proceed. This is achieved using well-pointing, deep wells, sumps, channels or a combination of these methods. Designing an effective dewatering system requires a sound understanding of a sites hydrological conditions to allow the most appropriate methodology and specification to be developed.
Speight Drilling have a range of world-class portable dewatering pump systems that provide fast, effective results for large-scale dewatering projects. We have also developed specialist methodologies that allow us to set-up complex systems and provide specialist advice across New Zealand.
