Alluvial Drilling & Gold Sampling

LANDCRUISER TD110 DRILL RIG

The landcruiser TD110 rig offers Reverse Circulation Aircore and Elemex 5 inch Bulk Drilling. Maximun depth is depended on geology but generally the rig can reach 25 to 35 metres in gravels aircore drilling. Giving a smaller sample of near (8 litre per metre) this set up is use to scout the basement depths for excavating and pit planning. Elemex 5inch bulk sampling available on this drill.

SONIC DRILLING RIG

Our Sonic drill rig offers 2 types of Drilling method relating to Alluvial Drilling and Gold sampling. Wireline sonic coring and 5 to 8 inch Elemex bulk sampling.

Wireline sonic coring is used to scout out the area. The samples are long, show accurate depth information and are highly undisturbed. This allows clear understanding of geology fundamntals like types, size and colour of rocks drilled, angular rock (from a slip) or round (from a river). A combimation of Sonic Wireline drill holes will define the accurate strike area or dip of the strike area in the alluvial rock. The stunning drilling speed, low sound level and ergonomically balanced operation makes recovering samples in difficult geologys a pleasure.

Elemex bulk sampling offered in 5 inch (15 - 16 litres per metre) or 8 inch (34 litres per metre) sizes offers a larger sampe size for mineralisation testing. Speight Drilling using the new and reliable Elemex system with controlled air flushing. The Elemex system minimizes the air escape to the surrounding ground as the high pressure air never faces the ground directly. The unique concept behind the Elemex design is built on redirection of the air flow. Once the air reaches the bit face, it is blown against the extended ring bit walls which redirects the flow across the face. This way, the air pressure is decreased just enough to allow an efficient flushing of the bit face without escaping to the surrounding ground. The extended ring bit closes the drilling area and keeps the air in the flushing grooves. Where this drilling system is used in a alluvial exploration appilcation it will ensure the best and acquired recoverey results.
